By Mike Maddox, CEO, CrossFirst Bank
Earlier this month, we celebrated our 16th anniversary as a company. As has become an annual tradition, every year around our corporate anniversary at CrossFirst, we also release our annual CrossFirst Impact Report detailing our activities and progress from the previous year. This timing serves the dual purpose of allowing us to reflect on how far we’ve come as a company since our founding in 2007 as well as celebrate the difference we are making in the lives of so many individuals both inside and outside our organization. Equally important is the opportunity to benchmark where we are as a company as we constantly strive for continuous improvement.
In today’s increasingly complex business environment, it is no longer enough for companies just to turn a profit. Instead, we have a shared responsibility to be good corporate citizens as we seek to meet the varied needs of our clients, employees, shareholders, and communities. At CrossFirst Bank, we take that responsibility seriously and our commitment to making an “impact” is one of the foundations of our award-winning corporate culture and is admittedly, just as important as our commitment to extraordinary service.
I am particularly proud of the progress we are making internally with our strengths-based culture. For the first time, CrossFirst received the Don Clifton Strengths-Based Culture Award from the GALLUP® organization earlier this year. This has long been a goal of ours and we are proud to join the ranks of Southwest Airlines and Accenture as one of just seven organizations to achieve this distinction. The award recognizes companies like CrossFirst that drive performance by helping employees focus on what they do best, maximize potential within teams, and integrate strengths-based development into their mission, vision, and values.
If you are a client, employee, or friend of CrossFirst, I hope you’ll take a few moments to review our impact highlights of the past year. We are only able to do what we do because of each of you. It is an honor and a privilege to lead this impactful organization. Thank you for the trust you place in us.
