Fraudsters often try to impersonate someone calling from your bank in order to access your accounts. CrossFirst Bank will never contact you to request personal information over the phone, text, or email. The Latest Scam Scenario
Fraudsters are calling customers pretending to be from the CrossFirst Bank Fraud Department or Client Care Department, alerting you of fraud on your account. The fraudster may be requesting confidential information such as account numbers, social security numbers, debit/credit card numbers, or PIN. The scammers may also be requesting online banking login information (username and/or password), stating that this information is needed to “reset” your online banking account due to fraud, or may be telling customers to stay on the phone while they send a text message with a one-time passcode needed to verify if the phone number on your account is correct. Once the caller has been provided the passcode, they are able to reset the username and password to online banking and gain complete control.
The scammers may be using a SPOOFED telephone number that mimics that of a local CrossFirst Bank branch or the CrossFirst Client Care phone number. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the bank, please immediately hang up and directly dial our client care number at (844) 261-2548.
